What We Grow

The following is a list of plants we grow and a description of them. We also offer the
homeowner and the landscape a larger variety of plants at our Garden Center.
Broad leaf Evergreens
Zone 6-8
Boxwood - Green Gem
A round, compact and dense Boxwood with small leaves. Ideal for hedging. Very tolerant
of frequent shearing and shaping. Zone 4-9
Boxwood - Green Mountain
A compact upright form of Boxwood with oval shaped, dark green leaves. Zones 4-9
Boxwood - Green Velvet
Rounded, slow growing with small dark green leaves. Grows 4'x4'. Zones 4-9
Boxwood - Wintergreen
Very hardy evergreen shrub. Small, light green leaves. Performs well in cold climates.
Good hedge, foundation, edging. Grows 4' tall x 4' wide.
Eleagnus Fruitlandi
Evergreen shrub. Silvery green foliage. Excellent hedge or barrier plant. Grows 10-12'
tall.
English Laurel
Evergreen, large shrub with large, dark green leaves. Can grow to 6' tall.
Ilex Cornuta Burfordi
Large, dense, evergreen rounded shrub, producing large red berries. Foliage is green with
few spines. Use as a background plant or a screen. Grows 15' tall x 10' wide.
Compact grower, deep green leaves and bright red berries. Self pollinating. Slow grower
to 4-6' tall. Zones 7-9
Ilex Cornuta Delcambre (Needlepoint)
Glossy dark green leaves are slightly twisted. Produces fruit abundantly. Can grow up to
15' if not trimmed. Great for corners. Zones 6-9
Ilex Crenata Bennett Compacta
Dense, globose evergreen shrub. In spring, young stems are purple. Leaves glossy green
all year. Great for foundation plantings. Grows 4' tall x 4' wide.
Ilex Crenata Sky Pencil
Tight, upright growth habit. Shiny green foliage. Matures around 2' wide x 10' tall.

Ilex Crenata Soft Touch
Dwarf compact growth reaches 2' in height and spreads slightly wider. Dark green foliage.
Zones 5-8
Ilex Emily Brunner
A broad, pyramidal holly that provides an abundance of red berries. It is a very hardy
and adaptable plant. Grows 15-20' tall x 8-10' wide. Zones 7-9
Ilex Fosteri
Glossy, green leaves usually have a spiny margin, and fruit is deep red. Growth is
compact and pyramidal, reaching 15-20' in height. Excellent corner plant. Zones 6-9
Ilex Mary Nell
Pyramidal Holly with shiny dark green leaves. Leaf margins are lined with short spines.
Grows 10-20' tall x 10' wide. Zones 6-9
Ilex Nellie R. Stephens
Vigorous grower with glossy green, spiny foliage; pyramidal. One of the best hollies for
the south. Grows 10' tall x 6' wide. Zones 6-9
Ilex Oakleaf p.p.#9487 - A red hybrid holly with a tall, elegant, pyramidal form. The
foliage is emerald green and is similar in shape to oak leaves. Self-fruitful.
Grows 14' tall x8' wide. Zones 6-9
Ilex Yaupon - Dwarf
Dwarf, compact growth reaches 2-3' in height and spreads slightly wider. Responds well
to trimming.
Ligustrum Waxleaf
Medium size shrub or small tree. Evergreen with dark green glossy foliage. White flowers
in spring. Stands shearing well.
Schip Laurel
Evergreen large shrub with long, slender, dark green leaves. Can be planted in full sun to
part shade.
Coniferous Evergreens
Arborvitae - Emerald Green
Narrow, pyramidal form, with dark emerald green foliage that is retained throughout the
winter. Cold hardy and excellent heat tolerance. Good as accent, hedge or screen. Can
grow to 15' tall.
Arborvitae - Green Giant
Fast growing, dense, dark green foliage. Grows 30-40' tall and 12-15' wide. Excellent for
screens.
Arborvitae - Nigra
Strong, upright-growing variety with dark green foliage. Good accent or screen. Grows
up to 15' tall.
Juniper - Blue Pacific
Low, trailing habit and blue-green foliage. Rarely grows more than one foot high.
Taxus Densiformus (Spreading Yew)
A densely branched spreading evergreen with soft, dark green foliage. Plant in well
drained areas. Grows 4' tall x 5' wide.
Taxus Hatfield (Upright Yew)
Columnar-shaped variety having deep green needles that densely cover upward growing
branches. Plant in well drained areas.
Deciduous Trees & Shrubs
Crape Myrtle-Catawba
Smaller growing Crape Myrtle with medium purple blooms. Cold hardy and mildew
resistant. Zones 6-9
Crape Myrtle-Dynamite
Upright grower with cherry red blooms. New leaves are crimson then mature to dark
green. Highly resistant to powdery mildew. Grows 15-20'. Zones 6-9
Crape Myrtle - Natchez
Fast growing; multi-stemmed. Dark, cinnamon-brown bark with glossy green leaves,
turning orange and red in autumn. Pure white flowers July to September. Grows 15-20'
tall. Winter hardy and mildew resistant. Zones 6-9
Crape Myrtle -Souix
Medium pink blooms. Cold hardy and mildew resistant. Grows 15-20' tall. Zones 6-9
Euonymous Alatus Compacta (Burning Bush)
Attractive, light green foliage in summer, turning to flame red in autumn. Great accents
or hedges.
Japanese Flowering Cherry -Kwanzan
Vase shaped, spring flowering, deciduous tree. Large, three-inch pink blooms. Orange to
reddish brown fall color. Grows 35' tall.
Japanese Flowering Cherry - Yoshino
Wide, spreading tree with white-pink single flowers. Dark green foliage; arching
branches. Grows 30-40' tall.
